We’ll break down what new instructors actually need to know, so you can start your career informed and confident. The Business of Pilates Workshop will bridge the gap between certification and career with practical, real-world guidance. This workshop is hosted by a STOTT PILATES certified instructor/studio owner, and a professional bookkeeper.

Postural Analysis Review
December 4th, 2026 12:30-2:30pm 0.2 CECs (2 hours) Post-Rehab conditioning This hands-on workshop, developed by the Merrithew® team, outlines the importance of postural analysis in programming STOTT PILATES® workouts. Discuss the differences between static and dynamic posture and consider how each affects exercise choices and modifications necessary. Review postural theory relating to the effect of certain postures on muscle length and strength and actively practice postural analysis. Review the steps in conducting a formal postural analysis Learn how to identify muscular imbalances as they relate to faulty posture Practice locating bony landmarks and palpating structures Understand how postural issues play into exercise programming

Pilates with Props, Level 1
December 4th, 2026 3:00-5:00pm 0.2 CECs (2 hours) Group mat This innovative and upbeat Mat-based workshop, developed by the Merrithew® team, features small props including the Flex-Band® exerciser, Fitness Circle® resistance ring and Toning Balls™. Learn to create a full-body workout that’s sure to inspire you and your clients alike. Focusing on strength and agility, explore new variations to standard exercises that incorporate the added peripheral resistance of all three props. Learn basic Matwork exercises from the Essential and Intermediate repertoire Modify exercises with props including the Flex-Band, Fitness Circle and Toning Balls Apply the STOTT PILATES® Principles of stabilization to all exercises Learn cues and corrections to help ensure safety and effectiveness
