Emerging Instructor
Scholarship

Awarded annually to a student who demonstrates dedication to their Pilates practice, and commitment to learning.

application deadline:

Scholarship Award:

Complimentary studio access

Recipient will receive three group classes, three self-guided sessions, and three equipment rentals each month for the six months after being selected.

Valued at $1080.

Two complimentary CEC workshops

Recipient will receive complimentary access to any two workshops of their choice at Trainor Movement Co. Recipient may choose from any of the provided CEC workshops between 2026-2028.

Valued at $1400.

Recognition & recommendation

Recipient will receive recognition through the Trainor Movement Co community of teachers and students; and a letter of recommendation from the studio owner.  Being recognized as the selected student is a resume-worthy accomplishment. 

How to Apply:

Application deadline is September 15th, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Scholarship recipient will be notified by the end of day October 1st, 2026. The following must be included in the application:

*Applicant must be currently enrolled in an education course at Trainor Movement Co. or have completed an education course with Trainor Movement Co. in the last 5 years.

1. Scholarship Letter

Submit a formal letter addressed to the Scholarship Committee. Your letter should include:

  • Your Pilates journey and what inspired you to become an instructor

  • Your professional goals within the Pilates industry

  • How you intend to use your training to impact your clients and community

  • Why you believe you should be selected as the scholarship recipient

  • How receiving this scholarship would support your continued growth and development as an instructor

2. Resume or Professional Biography

Submit a current resume or professional bio outlining relevant education, work experience, volunteer experience, movement background, and certifications. Applicants may also include one letter of recommendation (optional).

 

Applicants are expected to submit an original scholarship letter written in their own voice. Excessive reliance on AI-generated content may negatively impact an application's evaluation.
